Edit: I made it a jpg, so it should load a lot faster 8D. It was 1 mB before XD;. Now it's about 300kB! ^o^ANYWAY,
FULL VIEW!Collab with my dear friend ;3;. .......Okay, this was one of the most fun things I've ever done in my entire life 8D. We are so happy with how it turned out
.So, we sketched and conceptualized in OC for hours, and then we each drew our own characters (I drew Soulash, the blue thunder dragon, and Zee drew Akuma, her demon wolf character
. LOOK AT THEM FIGHTING WOAH.). Then we each colored seperately with lots of communication, and then I did the background and Zee did the AMAZING rain effects and blood 8D.THIS WAS SO FUN. We tried to go with an animated movie look.....with our own painterly styles thrown in. First time to cell shade in forever......but I still soft highlighted XD. We also practiced perspective and .....every technique we could, like reflected light....contrasting colors....unification......ETC.
I'm so proud of how this turned out
. We both worked so hard, and, as of right now, I don't think it could have turned out any better. XDPrograms used: OpenCanvas for pretty much everything, and then Photoshop for the rain effects and blood

Rather late in commenting, but it has to be said. This is gorgeous. The highlighting shows musculature, the rain effect goes well with the paw swipe, and the look in Soulash's eyes is captivating. Among other excellent things about this work. ;D Well done! I hope you both get to enjoy more collaborations, this one sounded like fun.

hehehehe, the style thing was really neat to see when we were doing the collab XD. We didn't do the coloring at the same time, but we linearted them together....and Zee said she was zoomed in 600% XDDD I was zoomed in 150% |D. Which is why her lineart looks so pretty and perfect and mine looks so sketchy XDD. I tend to not care about lineart, as my coloring usually somewhat makes up for my sloppiness |D;. But it was neat to see how differently we do stuff 8D.
