You know what? European breeds are soooo dull.

People in Europe seeing red or yellow dragon: "Oh look, it's so bright, so vibrant!"

Inca/Indian dragon: "You call that vibrant? Well, how about this?"

So I give you only named Indian breed from Temeraire universe - and of course whole description was "purple near the oak trees". So what, not first time, eh?

I helped myself a bit with the description of other Indian dragon that had ruff and "big, but tightly furled wings" - so this one has similar traits.

In general this one is a mix of frilled agama, a panther and a bat, with a bunch of kukri knives attached to the tail. Pretty neat combo.

I imagine them quite slender, thus they can fold their wings very close to their bodies, which helps them move around when on the ground. When agitated/angered, they whip their long tail around, taking down all the undergrowth and even small trees - thus their name.

Enjoy

I have been curious about American Dragons. The book don't mention them very much, to my knowledge.

No w końcu dynamiczna poza! Nie wiem czy pamiętasz moje starsze komentarze ale czuję jakbyś posłuchała mojej dawnej uwagi I like it!
No i sam smoczek też wydaje się bardziej szczegółowy (szczególnie kolorowanie).

Yay, an Indian dragon breed! It's awesome, you really captured the Indian love of flamboyant colours there. Plus I love the threatening posture I've got a question about the East India flag though, does this imply they are loyal to British India? I thought in the Temeraire series they were quite fervently anti-British (or at least so were the ones in LoD).

Thanks for the comment!

As for the flag - I was trying to find some actual India flag from the time, but all I've stumbled upon was several local flags, no single official one. The EI Company was at that time most prominent force in the region, so I eventually decided to use that one. If you have an idea for a better suiting one, let me know, I can easily change it!

I see, it is a tricky one, and I don't really have a better idea either... Perhaps you could do it similar to your Lindorm, and put a bunch of local flags? The kingdom of Mysore one, or Jhansi state, for example... Although actually that would clutter the beautiful picture. Nah. I think it's good as it is

Yup, that was what I was aiming for (plus the colourfulness of India spice bazaars).

I think it's quite territorial - so definitely aggressive towards trespassers!

Thanks!
