Random monster demon thing attacks them both out of nowhere. Fate and Negi obliterate it and 30% of the surrounding landscape but Negi's tea got spilt. Then Fate smiles triumphantly and Negi proceeds to kick his ass.

Let's put it this way, remember how Eva One-shot that Demon God back in Kyoto ?? Rakan is on Eva's Power Level and said Demon God is small fry when compared to Rakan. This guy can stomp armies of Humongous Mecha and cleave Magical Warships to pieces. His introduction consists of him smashing a building with sky-scrapped sized sword and then blowing up a mountain BY ACCIDENT while he was trying to create a Finishing Move for Negi, and it ONLY gets better from there XD
Haha not much longer, he appears somewhere around 200-210 chapter.

It all started with me asking "What the hell IS moe, anyway?" and got a link to TV Tropes... and I was hooked. It's like crack for nerds.
It HAS enriched my life and given me a deeper understanding of fiction though, even if I was a little resentful of everything categorized into tropes at first.

I read the page, and then there were all these interesting-sounding terms I had no idea what they meant... before I knew it, I had like ten tabs up to read.
It has been very helpful, especially with the Willing SUspension Of Disbelief, which helped me define my frustration with certain manga I read.
Setsuna, I love her (Ensemble Darkhorse for a good reason), so very much oin the Transparent Closet, and so very BAD ASS.
I would just LOVE to see him fight Kenpachi. It would destroy the world, but it would be WORTH it.

It still happens to me, despite at leat a years time passing since I discovered it. TV Tropes is VAST. You sit there, thinking you know most tropes, thinking "Hey, how many tropes can there be? Fiction can only be so big, right?"
You're WRONG.
MST3K Mantra and The Willing Suspension Of Disbelief are incredilby useful that way... till it gets to a breaking point where it is just too absurd, stupid and stereotype to be enjoyable. Is there a trope for that? I bet there is.

Yes he was, as much as I love Jiraya, Yamamoto so-taichou and Rakan, Whitebeard is the baddest old man you'll ever see. Taking on the entire damn world to protect his family. His entire crew and all of his allies are his Family and he'll annihilate anyone that would endanger it. And he is so damn powerful that people are convinced that he could destroy the world if he wanted to. When he Died he Died Standing, like an enormous Statue of Badassness.

And also, Money Dear Boy, since the manga had a VERY CLEAR possibility to end, with the Big Bad solidly beaten (after being a Boring Invincible Villain for about a hundred chapters, only trumped by The Hero becoming a Boring Invincible Hero... what a clusterfuck), and EVERYTHING looks af it is a wrap-up... and then it is announced that it'll go on for a whole decade more. Purely money.

While I believe everyone should be free to believe what they want (was raised chsristian in a christian family in a christian community), I do not feel you can have both religion and logic at the same time.
I mean, the difference between science- reason- and religion- faith- is that the scientist asks himself: "These are the facts. What conclsuion can I make of them?" while a believer would ask himself: "This is the conclusion. What facts can I bring out toi support it?"
Simply put, science over religion; evidence over faith in some unprovablke supernatural force.

[nods] Hey have you been reading Salvation War ?? Its an Internet Novel about how God got fed up with humanity and decided to hand us over to Satan for the Endless Torture. Satan got all giddy sent his messengers and his army... and came to a full stop when modern weaponry steam-rolled over his army and then invaded Hell. Science over Faith is one of the more important themes in this novel. Both demons and angels only have faith in what they are told while humans are curious, incquistive, searching for knowledge. Within weeks/months they worked out how to negate "supernatural" abilities of the both celestial races and then used that knowledge to pound them into the ground even harder. One Succubus even admited that she almost mistook Science for Humans' religion XD If you are interested here is the first volume
