I looked back to Star and she was still talking, so I didn’t miss much; I tried to focus back on her.
Deciding it was better to move I motioned for star to follow me. “We have spare logs in the barn, come with me.” Not expecting her to deny my offer I bounded over the fence, making sure to avoid the water trough. I waited for her to clear the fence patiently.

She was about to apologize when Al made her offer.
She wanted to refuse, it wasn't right to take anything from a dog she'd just met! But Al sailed over the fence before Star could protest. All that came out was strangled squeak.
"Uh, er..thank you!" She said, flabbergasted.
The collie did her best to ump the fence after her when the dog turned to wait for her. She made it most of the way but temporarily go stuck at the top, both halves of her body on either side. She grew hotter still under her fur in embarrassment but regained her composure by gathering her back legs under her and pushed off to land on the other side. Not one of her best landings, as she smashed her nose in the frozen ground, but it wasn't the worst either. She shook out her fur and stood up straight.

I figured it was due as she didn’t make fun of me for diving into a water trough. I simply gave her a worried look until she got down from the fence. I made sure to give her space as she landed, planting her nose in the ground. “You okay?” I asked hopefully not embarrassing her; I managed a calm composure, making sure not to laugh or look at her weird. I was quite clumsy back when I first started at the farm so I understood her situation.
