A photo quite some time ago ... thought I'd submit it.You might think, ouch... the sky is pure white (over exposed), well guess what, that was the whole idea behind it, white does represent something doesn't it? And if you don't know why... I let you figure it out yourself.
There is some darkness in this photo, mainly because the little girl is walking with a soldier and that could mean that either the girl has lost her parents or for some other certain reason. The answer is not clear yet.

Its fair enough having people come to their own conclusions, but what exactly would you say if you were asked to explain the meaning behind your photograph?
As wonderful as it is to be able to explore the themes of a shot for yourself, its always nice to discover the original thoughts of the photographer, and question what it was about this moment that made them want to capture it?

i really like this shot, just the whole message behind it, i think you timed it perfectly and i like the way the soldier is looking down, and the way hes got a gun in one hand and a little girls hand in the other, kindof like love/hate or life/death. really interesting.

Great job with modifying this piece. I like the harmony between the colors, and the lack of distracting elements. I can see this photo being used for some of the KFOR campaigns that are going on over here.
