I did this a while back, maybe a month or two ago.It was done in GIMP, as usual, and I was trying to get a feeling, but I really like the way the smudge tool on GIMP makes stuff look. But since this was my true FIRST attempt at using the smudge tool on fur and the entire picture, the border didn't come out very well, and I have learned to take the border off before working. XD
My theme was "Listening for Life on a River of Blood." Obviously the "blood" was just selected pieces of the snow/ice that I colorized to a bloody red.
The wolf's name is Epic, and he has a few verbal "quarks" such as referring to himself exclusively in third-person and the inability to really communicate to others without confusing them. He was going to be one of my characters, but I never got around to it, so I have this one piece.

Even for being an old piece - amazing. I love the whole concept of it, and the smudging is done extremely well for a first go-around (personally, mine looked dreadful my first several times)

It was an actual picture before I smudged up everything, so I can't claim anything beyond the smudging and colorizing of the snow and eyes, but I'm glad you like it. :3
