It's been a while.
I commissioned this tattoo from you when I was first learning my trade in the navy 10 or 11 years ago. I never worked up courage to actually go and get the tattoo (and with as much weight I've gained, lost, gained again, and lost again over the years, it's probably for the best; big G wouldn't look so nice all stretched and saggy of my carcass by now) . But here, 11 years later, I'm still serving in the Navy as a First Class Petty Officer. Come the next few months, I'm going to start designing my own challenge coin.
If you are unfamiliar with challenge coins and their significance in military culture, they are essentially informal, personal awards given by unit commanders or other senior personnel for work well done that merits recognition, but doesn't quite meet the criteria for a formal award from a given branch of the armed forces. They are way of saying "while the US government may not deem fit to fully appreciate everything you have done, I do". They're a sign of respect and acknowledgement.
For the past 5 years, wherever I go, Godzilla action figures have marked my workspace, making me "the Godzilla Guy" wherever I got stationed. I think it would only be appropriate to have a Godzilla on my challenge coin, and all the more appropriate to use your original navy-themed design that I never ended up getting inked on. Though it's been 11 years, and the intended purpose never came to pass, I was wondering what your thoughts were on me using the tattoo design or one of its variants as part of the challenge coin design?

I can't see this ending well for ANYONE... except Godzilla, of course! The look in his eyes proves it! Love how the anchor wraps around him as he grasps the tip with his massive jaws but I'm not sure it would be that big compared to him considering he's 100 frikin' METERS tall! Still great job! Your art is just outstanding and that's that!

This is by far my absolute favorite of all your artwork. It is so simple yet so detailed... It just fits Godzilla SO much; him being as large as the biggest tanker and having the anchor in his teeth as a souvenir to it's utter destruction... Just pure awesomeness!
P.s. If he was in the Navy... we'd be UNSTOPPABLE!
