Description After settling down to spin the harrowing tale of his wiggling unicorn tattoo, Sir Goober started to feel a little drowsy. So drowsy in fact that just as he was getting to the part about the 3 circus clowns, their a bald horse and the random appearance of a randy drunken goat, Sir Goober slipped into a gentle sleep, nestled in the warm embrace of his new lovely companions. And that is where he stayed. Until a he was woken abruptly by an uncharacteristically muscular pig and his extremely annoyed truffle collector. Turned out the truffle collector, Glen, was married to one the dryads, and although they'd been going through a trial separation for the past 23 years, he still felt very strongly about her sleeping with other men.
Words were thrown, then punches, then a baby grand piano, but eventually Glen was able to deal with Sir Goober's fraternization with his wife, by having him arrested for sleeping with an under aged tree spirit. Turned out she was only 117. Thankfully the charges were finally dropped when it was revealed that the dryad, Swshewsh, had lied about her age on her driver's license. She was really 142. Glen was devastated. So was Sir Goober. While sleeping, the criminal justice system had improved significantly, and as such the use of mathematics as a form of torture during interrogations had become common practice. Even though he was only detained for a few minutes, those agonizing moments would haunt him for the rest of his life.
The only way Sir Goober was able to cope was to wash his trauma away with a big ol' cup of One-Eyed Willy's "I can't believe it's not blubber." Which he enjoyed thoroughly, despite the crowds. Willy's always was a busy place.

---

Once again I went too ambitious with my first idea and failed miserably. But I rallied a bit, no pun intended, and came up with this. While it doesn't have the level of environment that I've been pushing for, it still has depth and it tells a story, so I call that win. Not too sure if the One-eyed Willy mascot reads as a whale as well as I would have liked but I didn't really have time to fix it.
But all that aside, I still kind of like how this turned out. The depth reads well, and overall it looks fairly plausible, so I'm happy with it.
Let me know what you think.
More on the way.

Thanks. It's been a real roller-coaster. Sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes a little kid pukes up behind me,
but it was just the push I needed.

Well first ... totally believable about mathematics being used as a kind of torture. since I entered the faculty of arts, the only accepted mathematics, were the occasional duels of Yugioh in the corridors. * cough cough *

and yes, the whale is easily recognized, so I do not see any problems.
good job.

My mother would agree with you about the torturous math. As a
high school math teacher, she has vast experience using in such a
fashion.

And that's good to hear. Thanks.

Your drawings for Inktober have extremely unique and peculiar narratives, but I feel that's what makes them so enjoyable and enticing to read.
Keep up this amazing work!

Thanks for those kind words. I will admit that my mind does go down some twisted
and poorly maintained unicycle only roads. But it does keep things interesting. I
noticed that you faved a few pieces, so you should have plenty of evidence of just
how weird those roads happen to be.
And don't worry, I will.
