I was about to post this up in my journal along with the other photos taken at SakuraCon, but this seemed much easier. So....yeah.
For those of you who wanted to get a better look at my Ryo of Wildfire armor that I wore on Saturday, here's a picture! You can only see it half of it, but I still thought the picture was cute! (Amanda took this, by the way. I asked permission to post it up here.)
The armor I wore was made out out of 2 things: craft foam and plastic sheeting. Like it? It's not THE best armor in the world, I have to admit. (I messed up on the shoulder parts, which is a drag.) But this was my first armor costume, and it still came out great! It's very durable, too! In fact- it's still in decent condition and is sitting in a safe spot at my house.
I might do something like this again in the future. Maybe. XD

How long did it take to make this costume? Ryo is my favourite Ronin so I am just curious. ^^ Awesome cosplay either way. I'm glad o see there are people who still like this show as well. ^^

The armor took a couple of months to put together completely-- but I spent even longer just PLANNING for it since this was my very first armor cosplay and had no clue what I was doing.

what did you make the armor out of? Me and my best friend are going to go as Arago and Black blaze, so I'm curious as to different methods.

This armor was made out of 3 main materials: craft foam, plastic sheeting, and lots of paint.
It's not the most comfortable outfit in the world and body movements can get restricted when wearing such an armor...but it looks very realistic and impressive! 
Pretty soon, I'll be working on another RW costume myself!

There was some cosplay armormaking tutorial I had followed to make that costume. And although it takes a LOT of time to piece everything together- not to mention having it limit your movements if you wear such a costume

thats kewl i think ive been around that area before i dont remembers but im in Convington which is neighbors with Kent... i dont live to far from the Super Mall its like a 20-30 minute drive there by highway

There was this tutorial I found online back last year that showed how to make costume armor using craft foam, plastic sheeting, and lots of spray paint. So I gave it a try! It took 5 months of planning and 4 months of actual construction.
Needless to say, I am GLAD I finished it.
