I'd say that this isn't my OTP and I just drew this just to make people laugh, but I'd be lying. XD don't make fun of my pairings bro! 3X truth be told, I actually ship Emmet with everybody, it's just that that "everybody" is more often than not Business. I dunno, maybe it's that hero x villain aesthetic, but I think this pairing is really cute and it's a shame there isn't very much fanart for it. well, I'm helping to fix that problem! X3 honestly, Emmet is friggin' adorable no matter who he's with, but I also used this as an excuse to make myself draw Business again XD whatever. these two are love and I'm still an idiot.The LEGO Movie belongs to Warner Brothers

Huh. I’ve always considered their relationship like a bromance. Like: “ We’re really close but no homo!” sort of thing. But to be honest I’m not bothered by this ship. I actually like it! And for once I actually know where it’s coming from! Anyway, your art is amazing! Keep it up!

A deep dark part of me ships them. I just hide it because it’s such a controversial ship. That’s why whenever I draw them together I try (emphasis on “try”) to no homo it. (Despite the fact that my mind says “yes homo”) Even the fanfic that I’m writing about these two! I have to use most of my energy to go no homo. Fandoms scare me TBH.

I think it's only controversial because a lot of people interpret them to be father and son, especially with the live action scene suggesting Emmet and Business are equivalent to Finn and his dad. nothing wrong with that! but that's not how I see it. haha. well, in most fandoms, people are gonna hate your ship no matter what it is, which means you're never gonna make everyone happy, so I say just do what you want. yes homo!

I used to see it as father and son but my views change. I mean, I used to see Emmet as a bumbling idiot but now I see him as a sarcastic guy who has been through a lot. (Don’t even ask.) And I used to see Business as the father figure Emmet never had and in some cases that’s how it turns out, but more likely that not he’s a sense of safety for Emmet. And my view of Batman has changed a lot. I used to see him as a annoying guy who thinks highly of himself but now he’s a full on narcissist. Not to mention my version of Batman mentally abuses Emmet. (That went to a dark place real quickly...) At this point I’m just BS-ing.

Of course, everyone's views change once in a while. And everyone has their own interpretations of characters. Besides, I don't really see any serious relationship forming between Emmet and Business until at least a few weeks after the events of the movie. The Batman thing is interesting... he changes for the better in The LEGO Batman Movie lmao
