Since this likely my last submission for 2013, I would just like to take this chance and thank everyone who has taken the time to look at my work over this past year. It has been an enjoyable return to deviantart.

I've always had a (non-sexual) thing for braiding and combing as gestures of unspoken friendship/companionship/trust; I wrote scenes like that even in my early teens.
Later, my best friend & first husband Bob, who'd taken a lot of the same anthropology and primate-studies classes with me, cheerfully referred to it as "grooming behavior," and it still makes me laugh 'cause he was RIGHT.

I stumbled upon this in Google image search when looking for something unrelated. Totally caught my eye, and was delighted to find it was on dA. Just a wonderful piece. I know you have so many looks and faves, one more probably doesn't mean much. But definitely adding this to my collection.
