Chitoge in her yukata from episode 17 of NisekoiIt's been like two and a half months since I've done a full colored pencil drawing, so when I was doing this I felt like I forgot how to color XD I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out though. I was originally planning on doing a light pink background using chalk pastels, but then I though it looked fine with a plain white background. Or maybe I was just lazy Anyway, I hope you guys like it as well! Oh, and by the way I have some more Nisekoi fanart that I'm still working on so hopefully that'll be up soon.

was thinking about drawing Chitoge myself although the reference i chose came from the manga soi will have to add the colours where i see fit which will be a challenge for me xD

Yeah, that'd be a challenge for me too. There is this one picture I really want to draw from the Fairy Tail manga, but I don't know the colors... I have this thing about changing the actual colors, so I'm probably going to wait to draw it. But looking forward to your Chitoge

My friend is a year younger than i and hes just finsihed his last exame last week so hes now got a super long like 8 week sumer term to enjoy xD
i feel the same way, i decided i was gong shade one of my drawings like i used to when i first started, this was quite a while ago that i wanted to do this, but because ive used nothing but colours for the past like 8 months of colouring i had a real problem going back to shading xD
not hat my sahding was ever of any decent quality, it was when i first started drawing so it was all pretty poor but i feel ive developed and learnt pretty well over the past 9-10 months :3

Yeah shading can be hard if you don't use a reference. Nowadays though I kind of ignore the reference I'm using and shade the way I feel like. As for original work (Which I never post on DA cuz.... it's not good XD) I kind of just go with the flow with shading... Like I try not to think about it too much and it ends up looking alright.

i thinkthats the best way to go about it, going with how you feel is great becuase you create something thats yours and differs from the original, be better or worse is done to you xD
i dont do alot of Original work or OC's but i hav uploaded the few that i have made
i tend to upload everything xD

Lol, I see. I guess I could always upload them to scraps. The thing is though besides all the artwork I post on here I have a separate sketchbook that I draw in, but I normally don't show it to anyone.

you can always remove them afterwards?
im similar but i show all my artwork and simply draw in whatever book i have with me xD
although i have special books like the first artbook i ever bought (which contains my personal favorite and some of my better drawing in towards the end of the book

Well this particular drawing I did using colored pencils, but when I do draw digitally I use Manga Studio EX.
