It’s a term commonly used on online battles. Basically the Pokémon sets up one turn by using a stat raising move like Dragon Dance. Then they proceed to “sweep” through the other team, earning knockouts

They're still around...just re-purposed. Vinking is a Dragon/Ice ship and is a standalone like Gonzai. Sworgon was given its own evolutionary line and changed from Steel/Dragon to Dragon/Fighting.
