Childhood:
Since she could hold a tool, Finn worked on her father's farm with her 5 older brothers. It was one of her favorite things to do, working hard with the Pokemon that her father took care of, especially a young Ponyta that she bonded with over the past 16 years since it was born.

Growing up without any female influences, Finn developed a masculine image from the 6 male figures in her early development. She loved to play rough with her brothers, play in the dirt with the Pokemon that lived on her father's farm, and kept her fiery-red hair as short as her brothers had. A lot of kids she met when she travelled off of her farm mistook her for a boy, a claim she often wouldn't correct since she got sick of it after the first dozen times.

Adolescence:
Finn had a fairly average teenagehood. She made friends rather easily thanks to her friendly, confident and charismatic nature. While Finn did alright in school, she always seemed to fail, or nearly fail, her tests, and as a result, she'd get bad grades in the class. It got so bad, that her father had suggested to her to get one of her friends to tutor her, and to help her prepare for tests in hope that it will help her raise her grades.

She took his advice, and had one of her best friends who had a high grade point average help her study and the like. Her name was Wendy. Almost everyday of the week the two of them would study what Finn needed her grades raised in. One day, during one of their study, the subject of sexual orientation came up in conversation. Confused, Finn asked what that meant, since she genuinely had no idea what the meant. Wendy answered that it meant what sex/gender that someone was attracted to, and after a minute of silence, Wendy burst out that she was attracted to other girls. Finn answered her with a "Oh, really? That's cool, Windy." while still working on her homework. Wendy was silent for another moment before blurted that she was attracted to her. That made her stop what she was doing right away, and had her look up at her friend. She was utterly silent for a bit, before admitting, a little more deadpan then she meant to, that she didn't feel the same way about her.

Wendy cut their study session short and rushed out of her home and off of the farm property before Finn could even get another word out otherwise. Wendy avoided her for the rest of the school year, and made excuses for every time that Finn managed to approach her. Wendy moved away the summer after that year of high school, and didn't tell Finn about it. She learned about it from a mutual friend, and Finn has never seen her since. She still resents her terribly for it.

Adulthood:
Finn graduated high school with grades a little higher than average, and went straight to work full-time with her dad and brothers on the farm. She was happy with her life on the farm, until she learned about a town opening up in a far of land, that offered jobs with no post-secondary school degree to apply, and she sent in her application as soon as it arrived by bird Pokemon.

Nearly a week later, Finn is moving into a small house of her own. She chose the library job to live a slow and relaxing (compared to her life on the farm) life in Ivywood with her new partner Hans the Aipom, a gift she received once she chose a job.
