the beginning of the emergence of a baby chicken from its egg. To some of you this picture might look gross but this is one of the most amazing things I've witnessed.

This chick and it's siblings were abandoned a few days before they were due to hatch so they are in an incubator.
I picked up the egg next to this one and i could hear pecking and cheeping so hopefully there will be another baby soon.

I'll upload more photos after the chick is fully hatched and all fluffy, but it has taken nearly 1 and a half hours for it to get this far so that won't be too soon.
