it's actually easier then getting sharp edges on pastel pencils if you ask me, although I do use them for various things also. you break a pastel and you get a really sharp edge all the way round, Rembrandts are particularly good for it.

great job once again man ... i really like how you are managing to keep the hands involved with the compositions lately - it really adds something extra and accents/balances the portrait side - I see nothing wrong with titleing it Carol part 12 actually ... as she is very much a re-occuring presence in your work

I've always wanted to just name my work after the subject, but galleries think its less salable or something rah rah..
I need to come into my fortune some other way so I can just do whatever the hell I like with art
