Sara knocked on the door to the office and waited for a reply.
“If you are selling anything, take a hike, camp under a tree and come back later!” Sara recognized her uncles voice and opened the door and went in.
“It’s me, Uncle”.
“Oh, my. It is you and you are swelling!” Sara took a deep breath and smiled briefly. She had heard wrong in the doorway, he had said “If you are swelling“…
“Ha-ha, very funny, Uncle”. She sat down by Williams desk and watched her uncle sit by her own desk.
He smoked, as always and he sat like a monkey in the chair with his knees straight under his chin while he looked through some papers.
“I see that you have made some connections with other stables, baby”. He threw up a paper on the desk and started to read. “Riddle Pine Acres- is this a riddle?! I cannot make either head or tail out of it!” He turned the page. “Dark Lake Stables- How on earth can they have a stable in the lake?! And a dark one for that matter!” Sara rolled her eyes. “Yellow Field Stables- maybe they should install a sprinkler system?” Aelfric looked at Sara over the desk. “Prelude Acres- tell me, are they any good musicians?” He peeked at the paper while a burst of smoke left the cigar. “And lastly, Pirate Stables- How can you be royal and a pirate at the same time?! I can't make neither head or tail out of that, either.”
“Nothing make sense when it comes to you, Uncle”, said Sara and smiled victoriously.
“Humor is reason gone mad”. He leaned towards Sara over the table. “How can I help you, Flower?”
“I was just wondering if you wanted to see the stables. You haven’t been here for a while and some things has been changed and improved.”
Aelfric jumped out of his seat and fetched his black jacket which was hanging over the bookcase.
“Let’s get out an explore!” and so he disappeared out through the door.

To walk with Aelfric was no easy task, since he walked as he did. His extremely long steps forced Sara to run beside him to keep up with his pace. His upper half of his body was facing a 150 degrees angle forward while he covered two normal steps with only one of his own when walking. They passed by the indoor arena when Anabelle appeared in the doorway with Contra close behind.
“That is one colorful horse!” said Uncle Aelfric while he walked around the stallion and observed him all over. He picked up one of his hooves and observed the shoe and slowly let it down to the ground again.

“Have you ever seen a horse tie it‘s own shoes?” Anabelle looked at Sara as if telling her that her uncle was crazy and had been dropped behind a horse cart!
“No.” said Sara very skeptical. “Have you?”
Aelfric picked in his mustache while he seemed to think. He suddenly return to the present.
“No!” He waved with his hand towards Sara as if he was catching a fly. “I just figured since I haven’t seen one, someone else might have done so.”
Sara rolled her eyes and her arms fell down to the sides. Anabelle wrinkled her nose and looked like if something smelled really bad. Aelfric played with his cigar in his mouth while giving Contra a hard pat on his hindquarters so a light dust cloud appeared and was mixed together with the smoke from the cigar.
“Maybe a little dusty, don’t you think?”

I am so sorry for making fun of your stables dear collaboraters! I cannot control Uncle Aelfric when he puts his mind into something

He is so funny to draw and to write about!
I had to draw something like this when he does something funny. Anabelle looks utterly turned off by the uncle, haha!
Contra looks so cute in this pic, as if he would say "There is something wrong with this dude?"
