Much of your work, especially this photo, puts me in mind of Alain-Fournier's Le Grand Meaulnes which I read when I spent a semester abroad in Bourges in the school building where Alain-Fournier himself was a student. Le Grand Meaulnes remains my favorite novel, and your work, especially your monochromes of French landscapes and old structures, provokes in me the same exquisite yearning, melancholy, and youthful wonder that Alain-Fournier's writing does.
