Description Book cover illustration for a sci-fi novel, Samuel Turner and the Silver Lining, by Kyle Olson.

Synopsis:
What makes a person who they are? Is death absolute? How do you let go of the one you love when you haven’t completely lost them? Samuel Turner must choose between finally letting go of his lost love or holding onto her simulacrum. This decision will send him on a journey across the cosmos to give life to an artificial intelligence that is and is not the woman he loved. Scattered across the stars he’ll meet the children of humanity; ask them of the nature of life, love and individuality; and find answers as strange as the new worlds and cultures they’ve founded.

The book is not out in stores yet, but there's an FB page dedicated to it:

The foreground platform is. But the rest of the scene was done in Vue 6.
