My Sony F-717 isn't a fan of the cold either, it won't come back on sometimes after I use it out in the cold and the batteries only lasted somewhere near 5 minutes last time I shot with it out in the cold.

My camera has the same problem with the cold.. anything below Zero (Celsius) make sit extremely unreliable.. Very annoying.. nice shot, but i think it's missing something in the background.. it's too white.. The Tree looks incredible tho!
Don't worry about your camera.. what i did with mine was keep her warm inside my jacket until the time to take the picture... worked most of the time, but multiple shots wasn't possible..
