New commission.Drawn with pencil on Schoellershammer paper A3.
I have worked hard on this drawing, but I'm not quite satisfied with the outcome. However, it looks better in real life, and my client is happy with it.

I'm sure she'll be asking for more, there is no way I could do that in pencil, I'm too messy.
That's why I like pastels, it is easy to blend the mess, in fact that's how I start, by making a mess first

Delicate shades of light pastel colour can make the white stand out, this one [link] is a little over dramatised, but it is an idea.

Thank you for your suggestion, Paul. I have thought of a darker area around the cat drawn with graphit dust, as my client wants the drawing made with pencils only.

This is very lovely. I love the soft look in his/her eyes, and the fur detail on the chest/neck area. Almost makes me wish I could reach out and comb my hands through it.

I'd be happy with it, Maine Coon's are very difficult to draw, that's why I don't draw them.
