This was done up for an art battle over on penciljack [link]Finished this up after watching the movie...
Not a bad movie. Felt like Peter was a bit of a douche, but boy, did those Spidey scenes rock! I geek-gasmed at a few of those poses he was hitting.
What do you think, about the art or movie?

Another awesome piece!
The movie was fantastic! They picked a much better actor to play Spidey for this series, and oh god, the fight scenes with the Lizard were glorious.
Also the Stan Lee cameo in this movie was hilarious. XD

This is an epic Spidey image. Great pose. The anatomy and perspective may be a little off (looking at the street suddenly made me dizzy) but there comes a time when it's okay to break the rules for the sake of style, and I think you've reached that point.
Yours is some of the work that makes me realize how little effort I've been putting into improving my own weaknesses.

Very nice Juggertha. I think the foreshortening is great and the pose is awesome. The super stylized anatomy bugs me a bit, but it does push the spidey image.

I agree about the new spiderman being a general douche. I don't think anybody is going to nail peter parker like Toby did for me. I'll miss him
In my completely non-expert opinion on the art I think the reason the black version of your art looks better maybe is the too-dark color on this one. Everything is far more vivid in the blacksuit piece from the building windows to the webbing in the background. While the red one has more detail I think it would need more vivid colors to stand up to the other. Even the way his armor shines from the "light" makes it stand out more.
