I had a dream of this town/village there was a tradition where if you were interested in someone, you gave them the best looking tomato you have grown. I suppose to show how well you grew food? If they were interested, they’d bite into it, if not they would squish it. There’s this one boy in this place that all the girls liked, but he would always squish the tomatoes presented to him. He enjoyed seeing their broken hearted expressions. One day he’s on his horse going through the forest and he comes across a beautiful young girl with a hawk, standing on her horses back. She’s like some kind of deity or spirit of the forest it seems? He quickly gives her his tomato and she smiles softly as she squishes it — then it took a strange turn? The deity rides off carefree and happy, they get to a meadow and her horse stumbles a bit. Suddenly the food in it’s stomach shrivels and dries up, and the horse along with it, barely standing. The deity is struck with pain and falls but seems to have some thought suddenly come to mind. She practically crawls through a strip of woods and on the other side is an immense desert with sand dunes and nothing else. She is visibly shocked and upset then I wake up.i was left feeling pretty uneasy about it.

Yeah that is a strange turn. No wonder you felt uneasy about it. I love how you added the eyelashes to the horse. Most people forget that. You did an amazing job with this piece. Great work Jubi!

that's such a neat dream, the ones that leave that uneasy feeling are the ones that really stick with me and haunt me for a long while. anyway this is a really cool image, love the colours and it definitely has a dream-like quality

Usually my dreams are easily read with heavy symbolism. This one's odd! And I have a lot of dreams that I personally play no part of. So the combination really intrigues me?

yeah the dream itself had a similar color palette-- I think I got it mooostly down? It's rare for me to remember so much detail so I had to draw it!

I treasure dreams like these. I literally fall out of bed in a rush to grab anything that writes and jot it down on the closest acceptable writing stationary.
This means that more than once, I've woken up in a messy tangle of sheets on the floor beside my bed. I'll have no recollection of last night's dream, but I'll look down and see the inky drawls from my semi-awake state staining my forearm from elbow to fingertip.
