Life was uneventful for Marcello (Mark) Leveridge. He went to school, graduated university with a degree in music, worked as part of an orchestra for a while, but was laid off due to failing economy, and ending up working at his dad’s restaurant as a cook, waiter, or whatever else was needed of him.

Whenever he could, he would play his trumpet, but never for long since his neighbors in his apartment complex would complain of the noise, no matter how well he played. They liked their lonesome peace. Not too soon after he moved into such an apartment, Mark found entertainment in the new online game that was advertised everywhere. Figuring he had no better things to do, he bought a copy and was hooked.

Online:
IRL, Mark is a quiet guy, an introvert who’d rather do everything himself and not bother with anyone else. But once online in AB, he found that it was near impossible to have any fun or go anywhere without joining parties to conquer dungeons and gain levels at a steady rate.

To cope with this, Mark made a persona for his character, Orica. He would be someone who could speak his mind, unafraid of what others think and is straightforward. As he continued on playing, Mark became so used to being Orica that he slowly became his character, nearly becoming completely immersed into AB.

This was the point where the virus hit and Orica felt that something was off. At first, it felt great to be able to play the game forever, but he later realized that he wanted to return to the real world. His experiences with other players in AB had taught him a lot of valuable lessons, lessons that he had started applying IRL and online and had positive outcomes. Because of this, Mark wants to return to the real world to change his life for the better. Regrets and mistakes have been made and Mark wishes to fix them.

◊Personality:◊
- Easy to anger: If he doesn’t like you, you’ll know. Orica tries not to let his fist do the talking but sometimes his instincts get the better of him.
- Stubborn: He won’t admit to anything he denies on the spot but he realizes his faults and will apologize eventually
- Loyal: He won’t let his friends and teammates down. He’ll try to help others to the best of his abilities, even if it means helping a member do something as trivial as standing in for a maid café. Okay, maybe not, but you get the point.
- Paranoid: Always thinks, in the back of his mind, that people have ulterior motives or hold double meanings in their words.
- Encouraging: As someone who remembers what it’s like to be a newbie and to be struggling in life, be it online or IRL, he’ll be like a big brother and offer tips and words of encouragement. Not saying that he’s the best at it, but he likes to give support.
- Tough cookie: Crunchy on the outside, soft and gooey in the inside~
