I sing this song to the night, falling to the ground without flight.
The bird looks down at me, all is silent- sharing a stillness ever so timeless.
Cold quiet sharpness cuts, revealing within... I listen carefully to the hymn.
A choir of black birds, air of frost. Winter's truth and all that's lost.
Spring time sun, we begin to thaw, as I sing the Black Bird Song.
