Description
After CAT cruise ships, I decided that CAT was allowed to operate flying boats as well and designed this Tillweigh-built Model 52 "FCS". It is equipped with a license-built Tillweigh Model 40 "Beaver" and displayed during the floatplane's deployment on this drawing.

Three FCS seaplanes were built : "Boston", "Adelaide" and "Southampton". After AT-ENJ "FCS Southampton" was partly destroyed while landing crosswind in the Bay of Calvi, Corsica, CAT officials announced the retirement of all three FCS aircrafts, which remain the only flying cruise ships to have ever flown at CAT. Of the four Beavers initially built as auxiliary floatplanes, one remains on display at Oxcrew harbour in front of CAT's buildings.
