3ft x 6ft, oil on canvas... 2003this is one of my paintings that really means a lot to me... its about me and my girlfriend...
we are kind a separated that time... she was finding herself and i was confused and felt alone.
This painting is one of those moments where in you want to spend some time with her...
and you know you can...
but deep inside you know its not the same...
table for two is about the moment of waiting...

Reading your coment really struck me, and the painting is fabulous, i could feel what you ment by painting this in the colors, the texture, it has a great atmosphere.

I have got the same problem with my oil paintings, the photo is always so much less good as the original...

i have solved it though... what i did was to took a shot under natural lighting, outdoors. in that way the distribution of light is balanced. But paintings under a glass is another story. thats more complicated...

Nice work on the colours : contrasts are great.
Yet, I just find that the red flower don't stand out enough, especially the stem.
