If you don't mind I have a quick question. Β I know that learning to draw is one thing, but where do you Β learn how to make comics/manga? Β How do you put them together? Β Do you sketch out a rough draft of the story line before you start making pages? Β Sorry for the questions, I was just hoping to star a comic soon and I wanted to ask a pro... THANKS!

I think you learn by reading a lot of manga, and studying the ones that you like. Yup I start by making fast thumbnails of all the pages to get an overview before i begin sketching up and inking the actual pages. Feel free to ask any questions you have ^_^

Thanks a bunch! Β Ok so, another question then. Β The school building on the page above, do you draw out the entire thing bricks and all, or do you use like a 3D model or something? Β And like for a classroom I'm sure that you don't draw every school desk right?

For the building above, and most other buildings I used photo references that I took with my camera with corresponding scenes in mind. Here I made a texture for the bricks. For most of the inferiors in the school etc I made 3D models using google sketcup. I took a screenncap from the right angle and printed it out and inked it on the page using a light table.

I really liked the story, the theme is simple yet the way it's told is is quite captivating and made me interested as the story progress.

I wasn't really planning on reading the whole thing but somehow I did. And I really enjoyed it!
Your pages are also nicely shaded with the tones. Did you use manga studio or was it done traditionally ?
I'd also love to do a one-shot or start with a series, but I'm not really confident in my own skills yet..

Just read this. It's really professionally made! the main character is really developed, and the story is told in a great way. Despite there only being 45 pages, the pacing was done perfectly. the artwork is also astounding.
