I meant to get this up in February, but that didn't happen. D: I had to recycle some lines so I could get this all done today.Presenting
The Lingerie'n'Lace Gene-----------------
READ THE SHEET.
This is a gene! Something inherited! Like orengel 's Dew Gene or samuRAI-same 's Negative Horse Gene . It can occur on ANY natural horse (ie one you would see in real life). No fantasy breeds, and no fantasy colors.
I only own the GENE. Not all laced horses! You can make laced horses out the wazoo, I don't care. BUT if you want to make a horse that fits the gene AND USE IT, then you need to follow my rules. Simple!
All natural horse carry the gene! A carrier is a horse with lnlLNL, meaning they have the possibility of creating a Lingerie'n'Lace foal. SO if a mare with lnlLNL and a stallion with lnlLNL breed, there is a one in four chance the foal will have the pattern! A Lingerie'n'Lace horse has LNLLNL, meaning if it's bred with a Lingerie'n'Lace horse or a carrier, the offspring will be a Lingerie'n'Lace.
lnllnl(normal) + lnlLNL(carrier)= 3 in 4 chance of being normal, 1 in 4 chance of being a carrier
lnllnl(normal) + LNLLNL(Lingerie'n'Lace)= 4 in 4 chance of being a carrier
lnlLNL(carrier) + lnlLNL(carrier)= 1 in 4 chance of Lingerie'n'Lace, 2 in 4 chance of a carrier, and 1 in 4 of being a normal horse
lnlLNL(carrier) + LNLLNL(Lingerie'n'Lace)= 2 in 4 chance of being a carrier, 2 in 4 chance of being Lingerie'n'Lace
LNLLNL(Lingerie'n'Lace) + LNLLNL(Lingerie'n'Lace)= 4 in 4 chance of being a Lingerie'n'Lace

These are free to create, AS LONG AS YOU NOTE ME SO I MAY APPROVE THEM. No one can make horses with rare traits, and uncommon ones will be closely monitored.

What are the requirements for a horse to be a carrier? I have a stallion who had lace markings but not like these so he couldn't be a LNL but could he possibly be a carrier?
btw love the gene. It is nice to have a certain look connected to something so the horse has a more defined genotype (not like I use genotypes but people around here are really good at them! XD) I love how people are getting their tighties in a wad over this. haha

A carrier is a straight up, pass on the street normal horse. The LNL gene is dormant, so a carrier looks like any ol' horse. Any unnatural attributes destroy the gene or overpower it. It would take a lot of breeding to dilute the unnatural genes out so the LNL could show up.
Long story short; no, you're stallion could not be a carrier. D: Sorry.
Well, I'm glad you like it. :/ People here are kinda dumb; one of the reasons I want to pack up and leave DA. My irritation here is one of the reasons my mind gave birth to my lady anonymous (the fire skull horse thing I posted).

Yes some of them are. You just gotta overlook those people and find the ones that really matter! I love miss lady anonymous! She looks like someone you shouldn't mess with. Just nod your head in agreement with her and your life will be sparred XD

But you don't have any of mine! I'm not trying to own all of the laced horses; I'm just trying to mark off a corner for geneticly-based horses. All Lingerie'n'Lace horses are natural horses ONLY, with the LNL gene.

Those are special breeds, and they come in all sorts of colors. Mine is a genetic marking with limitations. Hopefully they won't get confused with each other. D:
