Thanks for the great review of the piece. Β At the point I gave this to my aunt she was not even aware that I drew. Β I can see you have quite the talent yourself.

Thanks very much. Actually that is my Uncle and the original was given to his wife. He commented that I didn't need to draw all of his wrinkles.

The wrinkles are what add such character! He is beautiful!

Funny, when I gave him the drawing he commented, "Did you have to draw all of my winkles?" At that time I said that I didn't draw them all (smile).

Thanks Bettina. Actually I surprised my Aunt with this gift. She had never seen any of my drawings in real life and I gave this one to her just as my way of saying I love you.
Have a great day.

This is wonderful. The effort you put into all of his wrinkles and highlights really shows.

Your work is quite impressive as well. How long does it take for you to do a portrait like these?

well, I have it down now to between 5-7 hours for a 5.5 x 6.5 INCH drawing

Ok, now I don't feel so slow. We are about the same. The drawing "Summer's Glory" (see my gallery) is nearly three feet tall. You can do the math on how long that took.

Oh yes, but those are the ones that are passed along to the children, grand children, great grand children, etc.
