I agree . Both the original and the remake had the killer not actually be Harry , but instead had Harry Warden involved in some way that made the characters kill and become Harry themselves. I guess in a way it is kinda like Scream where multiple people take up the mantle . Also I really wish the original got a sequel because the sequel that was never released was pretty cool and set at a amusement park built over the mine .

True . Hellraiser sadly started to fail for the same reason because it started to have some bad sequels . My Bloody Valentine never got its sequel I think because it didnβt perform well at the box office or something:/

Well they almost made the sequel , but not only because of it not doing as well at box office , but Paramount , the original company who did My Bloody Valentine , was offered a lot of money by a Lionsgate so Lionsgate bought the rights to do a remake instead of a sequel ( a sequel made by the writer of the original MBV) and the sequel script was unfortunately not used so we never got the sequel and we instead got the remake made by Lionsgate instead of a sequel by the original writer and Paramount because Lionsgate bought the rights .
