yuh, i agree. but these folk (that are calling me a philistine) would also argue against your approach on film. A true photographer only shoots the image once. No bracketing, no try and try again-ing...
Personally, I couldn't care less... as long as the finished product is aestehetically pleasing... me = happy...

great use of the lighting here. although I haven't seen the flash version, I think not seeing the detail on her face is fine. The darkness really frames her; a good use of blocking. Good good job!
