This stop-motion sketch comedy show, created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, for ShadowMachine Films and Sony Pictures, premiered on February 20, 2005, distributed by Cartoon Network. The basic premise is that a mad scientist turns a road-killed chicken into a cyborg, and then straps the reanimated chicken into a chair while forcing him to watch various monitors depicting the show’s many sketches. Ironically, despite being the titular character, the show didn’t focus on the chicken until the later seasons, when he actually manages to escape and have his revenge on the scientist.

The show, as said above, works with sketch comedy, focusing on parodies, satires and black comedy, often showing darkly comedic takes on classic/popular television shows and movies. The show has won several awards and stays popular to this day.
