What an odd but wonderful painting. It raises questions, What is it, for one

I believe it is an aerial view of a giant artificial crocodile during the construction process.
The question can be the following:
What can be the reason to build that kind of animal?, maybe as a weapon because that design is of a very powerful and aggressive living being.
A lot of technology is developed by watching nature.

I thought they were taking the bad creation out of commission for some reason. Maybe it's the little insignia on its shoulders and the lack of them on anything else, alien. Even technology is nature, if not organic and living. It's our nature
