This is version 1 without the text and credit mock up. To see the poster design with the text and credit mock up please click here: [link]Most of my digital art and paintings are primarily car related, so this is something different for me. A good exercise to get my feet wet with this challenge.
It was done with Photoshop CS and still with a mouse.
Stephen Sondheim's musical score of the original Broadway show is what inspired the feel of this poster design. I wanted to convey some emotions that Sweeney Todd went through with the portrait shot of Johnny Depp.

This is fucking amazing- I found this one day when I googled Sweeney images, and I wondered who did it. It is now part of my background that contains all my sexy men- Freddie Mercury, Voltaire, and Sweeney. Wonderful picture darling!

My god this is gorgeous. I can't put my finger on it but something about this is just so tragic.While most focus on the psycho side of his character, this captures the depth of his sorrow extremely well.

I love the way you captured the emotion in his eyes (its one of Johnny's many talents [to emote using only his eyes]) and you simulated it brilliantly.
My only peeve (and this is only because I'm OCD about everything XD ) is that I would have had Mrs. Lovett a little higher so her chin would be in the picture.
(But then again I'm OCD)

Interesting note about Johnny Depp's eyes is that it's actually painted. I couldn't find the right shot of him where he is looking straight at the camera so I took one of the approved images and "refocus" the eyes so now they are looking straight at the audience.
