Okay, a story for this one:

um...

So it finally happens. California sinks into the ocean (though it is due to rampant commercialism gone horribly wrong, and not tectonic activity.) Moments before their tragic deaths, millions of Californians stress out and vomit into the ocean. It is very gross. All the vomit and stress just causes more people to vomit. The ocean turns chunky pink.

Fish smell the vomit and corpses from miles away and come to nibble at it. The great migration catches the attention of a young mermaid who comes to investigate. She comes ands investigates and discovers that California has sunk into the ocean. That's interesting, she thinks, and swims away to resume entertaining her house guest (a seal whom she rudely left behind. She realizes suddenly that she should have invited it to come along, and that now she would have to apologize and make it up somehow).

Supposedly there is a great commotion above sea level about what happened, but that is the end of the story as far as the fish lady is concerned.

Oh, and her name is Mirmayde. Her parents were not very clever.

For anyone wondering what it looks like to draw in Flash, now you can see! In blinding speed that is of little or no help at all! Since the video is not very useful in this regard, I have chosen to present this to you as a "this is my drawing process" video as opposed to a "this will explain something" tutorial.

Regrettably very early on something went wrong with the capture and the cursor appears as a pointy-hand for the rest of the video. You will no longer know what tools I am using unless you watch the toolbar on the left.

So anyhow, the video briefly chronicles everything from conception (I did not know what I was going to draw when I began recording) to completion (except for a few touch-ups I made afterward).

Well, I hope you enjoy it. I chose to draw a lineless piece since I figured most of you have seen lined art drawn before.
