You probably have to be asian to understand what's going on here (or, as hinan0 suggests, "a crazy anime dork")I certainly hope all of you have had experience with cleaning the dirt out of a mouse - if not, I feel awful old. Anyhow, the tool she's using in this picture is a wooden stick thing that's typically used to clean earwax out of a person's ear.
I'm still at home, so I'm using one of these accursed ball-mice, which is half the reason I made this deviation. The other half would be due to nasal congestion which seems to be backing up into my ear canals and causing itchiness. Aaaaack! *itchy itchy itchy* This piece happens to be my first try on openCanvas, which I downloaded just today. I miss Flash terribly. And my optical mouse. This took me about 5-6 hours to finish, I reckon. I kinda like the Honey & Clover look that came out, though.
And upon looking over the finished product, I realize that the ear-cleaning device is HUGE, and other subtle irregularities which I won't bring up so you can enjoy the picture. T_T

I miss my ball mouse.
Every time my hand aches, I remember how it was perfectly ergonomical for righties (none of this symmetrical politically correct design)
Every time I'm being nommed on from behind by a monster in a first person RPG, I remember how I used to lift it up and send the ball spinning wildly to do a 180 in 0.2 seconds.
Every time I'm waiting for my scrolling to slowly highlight a folder of 10000 files or a tower of text, I remember how I could keep ratcheting the scroll speed up towards infinity by rolling it on the mousepad in the same direction repeatedly.
Every time my optical mouse gets jittery and the pointer's movements bear little resemblance to my inputs, it's due to quirks of lighting, and I remember how it used to be because of dirt, and I could just clean it out and fix the problem.
Every time one of these things happen, I wonder if our progress since 1995 has truly been worth it.
I miss my ball mouse.

My laser mouse is even worse than my old ball mouse. I love cleaning those things, anyways. It gives me something to blame.

But I always used a toothpick. Perhaps that's because we never had those things on hand.
But, it's a lovely piece of work. Keep it up, your stuff always makes me smile.

hehe i remember cleaning my mouse!:3 i hates it!!D8 god it was anoying cuz my mouse got dirty like all the time! i mean i do enjoy taking out the dust though!X3 but i guess what bothers me is opening the thing! lol (i cleaned with my fingers lolD8) but now i have the non ball mouse so no more cleaning!

I hate cleaning the dirt out of my mouse... I have a trackball mouse, so it's like one of those really early mouses where dirt gets caught in it all the time. I have to clean it every day pretty much, because if I don't the cursor won't move where I want it to.

I haven't had to clean a ball mouse in a long time
i used to totally take them apart to do it properly :3 even my friends got me to clean their mice (i was always thorough 
I. so glad i went optical tho :S cos photoshop is not forgiving on ball mice :S making me draw the same line over and over :S and sticking at the worst possible time.. arg :S
i got something like that ear thingy somewhere.. its metal tho so i have to be carefull with it, no fluffy bit tho (whatever thats for)

You know what worse then cleaning your mouse out? Working in photoshop with a dirty mouse at school. Dirty mice screw with photoshop terribly... and you can't clean school mice cause they like superglue them in or something.

LOL!! Naw I didn't break it but I figured out by taking the ball out the mouse no longer works so I took the ball out after my mom wouldn't give me the computer and kept it until she gave it back^^ she DID say I could have the comp. 8hrs before that....

The thing is, it's not a Q-tip. It's a wooden stick with a "hook" at one end and a thing like a dandelion fuzz on the other.
