Wow, amazing painting!! Love the gloomy, jagged, mechanical style of the dock and the angular spaceship flying past. Β This definitely inspires me to work harder at art- I've wanted to learn digital painting since I first learned of its existence, ha ha. Β Still got to work on my traditional drawing skills first though. XD

Lasso can be priceless in dealing with hard surface along with paths, vector shapes and the line tool. Looking good, gloomy and the detail is well implied even though it's almost abstract. I like this kind of work, old school sci-fi.

Yeah, lasso is awesome for hard surface. I am a fan of having some abstraction; leaves something up to the viewer's imagination, which can be a powerful tool to pulling people into the picture.

Thanks, just fooling around with marquee selections to make some hard surface stuff... in this case, a spaceship.
