Description I don't like posting sketches here anymore and I certainly don't want to make a habit out of this but here's a couple of sketches I've done for a poster I want to make for the new Planet of the Apes movie.Β 

Koba (top right) was my favourite to draw <3Β 
top left was my first try at Caesar but I messed up pretty bad lol

Have you seen it? I'm a big fan of the last two movies!

WOW!!! these skectes are incredible!!
Is it with a pencil?
I really like the way you have shaded, and made the hair!!
-It looks like a proffecionel sketch! you know from artbooks and stuff!!!

haha thanks so much Ninja!! Yes it was done with a mechanical pencil with 2B grade lead and the red was done with a felt pen!

i rewatched the movie and just had to do a little fanart Β 
yes Koba has so many awesome defining shapes in his face it's shading heaven! the fur is just a ton of light strokes lol nothing special you just need a little patience! xd

Thanks, Abby! These are mostly (save for the red highlights) done with a mechanical pencil! I'm the comfiest in this medium and it's what i always use to sketch with on paper xd

have you seen the movies? :-D or are you put-off by the concept?Β

I haven't seen the old movies, but I watched the new remake. It's so emotional, I liked it! The director did an amazing job catching the emotion struggles ofΒ Caesar.

Really? Lovely pencil work! I'm afraid to make deep dark lines on paper. I always feel like i'd ruin my sketch. >u> Mechanical pencil is a good medium. I find it relaxing because it's a familiar tool. <3
