Description Customary character sheets that I generally tackle before committing to pagework of any kind. It's important to have an unconscious grasp of characters facial features and silhouettes so that you can glide through the production phase of a project and concentrate on the overall aesthetic, without sweating the time-consuming details.

These pieces were done in advance of some coverwork I did for BOOMstudios comic book series, INCORRUPTIBLE.

Great work, and also a very good point.

I usually do something like this too - especially if you're drawing new characters, as it gives you a reference for them if you get stuck (and it makes it harder to get stuck in the first place once you 'learn' the character) because for an established character you can just open an issue and have a flick through to see what's what.
