Thank you, this started out as just an experiment in combining the clothing, and it started to remind me of Rand. I was inspired to try it because of your great WOT artwork. I love the books and have been wanting to do an epic "Battle of Dumai's Wells" scene ever since I read it. I started doing these experiments to see if I could increase my skill level enough to pull it off. This has me thinking I might be able to do it now.

Thank you, this started out as just an experiment in combining the clothing, and it started to remind me of Rand. I had the same problem with the books and skipped to the last two a few years ago. I loved it so much I started a re-read(listen?) using the free audio books from my local library. They bring a lot of life to the slog that the series seems to get in the later books.
It will be interesting to see what they do with the TV show in the works at Amazon.

Was that the battle where the Reds were coming for Rand? I recall it, but it's been a long time & I gave my books to my sis-in-law to read.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I just re-read it about a month ago thinking about finally trying to create the image I always pictured in my head when I first read it.
It's the battle where the Aes Sedai have captured Rand and locked him in a box and are transporting him back to the tower. Perrin leads the Two Rivers men, Cairhienin, Aiel spears and Winged Guards to charge down into the valley at the back of the Shaido forces coinciding with attack by wolves. They start loosing and Mazrim Taim and a bunch of Asha'man show up and start laying waist to everything. [ wot.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_of_D… ]

It's my favorite series, though it's very long and has some slow spots. I just started re-reading the series by listening to the audio books online from my local library.

Yeah, I tried to just use the flames from the original render and thought it needed some smoke, then I found the smokey dragons. Gotta love Photoshop
