Happy to share an image painted for my worldbuilding!

Since most people seem to like the simple background rather than blank/white background for my characters, I am experimenting more with this workflow.

The character itself is inspired by the historical character Hypatia (from the movie Agora, let me know if you have seen it!)

Chariclea, Ionian Astrologer

While most of the Greek civilizations communed with their deities through oracles and burnt offerings, Cariclea, and many of the Ionian people used turned to other means to speak with their gods. Ancient knowledge hidden in the many Mediterranean Islands gave the priesthood of the Ionians power to understand the constellations and the astral powers surrounding the planets. These newly gained celestial powers, however, while admired by the students of knowledge are deemed a threat by the traditionalist Ionian ruling class. Chariclea may need to use her powers to defend herself and what she fought for to study.
