That my friend is a shortcut we pencilers do to indicate areas we want inked in black. SinceΒ this pieces is going to get inked it would be a major waste of my time to go in and fill all the areas in black. Ya dig ?

Sasha the crosses tell the inker or colorist where to shade in black.. this piece will be heavily shaded..
