Don't you just love it when the exact style you've been trying to avoid ends up being exactly what you needed? Cause I sure do.Possibly my favorite scene in Sherlock (and every other TV show, really) is the brief "Sinnerman" sequence in which John, Sherlock, and Moriarty are on their respective ways to Moriariy's trial for his attempt to steal the Crown Jewels. It's true cinematic genius at its finest... I get chills every time I watch it. Here it is, by the way: [link]

The setup of that entire episode was astounding, especially after you've seen it at least 4 times and are still finding details you've missed before. The trial and its lead-up were very well done, with just the right amount of humor and impending darkness, and I like how you kept the image so stark on its black background. The simple style only underlines the focus, the attitude of the two men essentially preparing for war.
