In one of the upcoming chapters of Cling, Michael learns quite a bit about what it's like to be blind - so, imbued with renewed sympathy, he asks Jonah to teach him to read and write alphabetic braille. Jonah complies, and as training, they begin writing braille notes back and forth to each other. Michael catches on quickly and finds that he has a knack for remembering the alphabet, despite his uneven dot-punching.

However, there's one thing that Michael just can't understand.

Jonah ends his first note to Michael with a short series of cells that don't translate. When Michael asks what it means, Jonah refuses to explain and instead tells him to go figure it out himself.

The words are, of course, written in the more widely-used and contracted form of braille - and I'm sure you all know what they are.
