happy new year! y'all now how much i look forward to doing these.

overall, 2018 was a truly amazing year for me. i figured out my career and educational aspirations, resolved to teach myself a foreign language, worked my first two jobs in service and made a boatload of money, and, of course... drew a whole damn lot.

i won't do a month-by-month rundown as i have in the past, but i'd like to note the CRAZY improvement from july onwards. i taught myself digital painting over the summer, and fell completely in love with it. almost all of my finished pieces nowadays are painted in some form, and i couldn't be more pleased with the direction my style has begun to move in.

another theme here is how... happy and loving all my art is. after spending the summer in a big ol' house in the woods with my sister, working in a little beach town on the coast of lake michigan, i think my relationship with my family has grown unbelievably stronger. my family is my rock, and the emphasis on familial bonds in my art this year displays that real well.

... and, yeah, all this art is mob psycho 100-related. haha. i know it seems a bit geeky, after the variety previous years have had, but honestly, i couldn't be happier. this series and its fanbase means so much to me; i've met amazing friends through it, and realized so much about myself and the things that make me happy. no series brings me quite as much comfort and joy, and i am absolutely thrilled to get to start off the new year with a brand new season.
