A few months ago, I watched RWBY for the first time. I enjoyed it enough to make a crossover piece featuring some of my characters (from my webcomic, Rain ), dressed like some of those characters. Just a cute, silly piece , but it was fun. At the time, I still kinda wanted to draw my favorite character, Weiss, but I decided to get back to my own thing instead. Earlier today though, I happened upon the trailer for Volume 3 (which apparently starts tomorrow). And well, I guess if I wanted to do more fanart, there's never going to be a better time. XDAnd that's where this came from. ^_^
I don't really have much else to add, but I hope you like it. I considered shading it, but I really need to get back to my own Volume 3 (incidentally).

"Ice queen" at 12:00, All things considered she IS one of the two most well developed characters ATM, she's almost tied with Blake, whom is my favorite character, I swear the adorable cat ears have nothing to do with it... I'm not gonna be selling that am I? In all honesty I love Blake's backstory.

Yes but watch the first two episodes of Red verses Blue before moving on to volume 2 of RWBY trust me it enhances the viewing experience

not a problem, Rooster Teeth loves self referential jokes, that one in particular, you never know when some permutation is going to crop up- largely because Red vs Blue has been both their starting point and their main attraction for the entirety of their company- its no longer wise to binge RvB, "over 20hrs long and in 5 minutes intervals" (many are longer but have to quote one of the characters because of the opportunity presented itself), but as a whole so long as you catch both mini series (of cannonical importance- there are others less important) Out of mind (after season 4) and Recovery one (after season 5) the plot picks up real well from randomness to great story telling after the first 5 seasons (they have some plot but its not primary focus until season 5 on) the 8 that follow get progressively more epic I mean 11 is a bit of a breather though it is also an arc seeder. highly recommend RvB when you have time (warning there are very satiristic elements such as a few characters being the over exaggerated embodiments of various stereotypes, 1 is a lazy gamer, 1 is an uber nerd, 1 is basically a redneck, 1 is exaggerated homosexual (but they are cool about it they don't use him as a punching bag just to make other characters uncomfortable in rather creative ways) and more if you can handle that, and you are okay with the limmitations of the Halo engine until season 8, you'll love Red vs Blue, but regardless once you understand the significance behind the word "Puma" in Rooster Teeth, you are clear to watch season 2 of RWBY. my suggestion for RvB- watch a few episodes when you need something uplifting, I mean in later seasons things get dark- but never without some levity or epicness to substitute- Rooster Teeth knows how to give their characters exits I get the feeling that will show in Volume 3 of RWBY

Ah, just as an FYI, be careful in calling it an anime, since Roosterteeth is an American company. With that being said, RWBY from the combat to comedy to creativity, it is worth while to check out for any anime fan. Possibly on the same level of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

As with all their series (its basically Rooster Teeth policy) so long as people are still watching it they make more- also it would be disrespectful to Monty to let his creation die when he had so much pre-planned and written down also his brother is the new voice of Ren. It would be especially disrespectful because it would violate his mantra of "Keep moving forward"
