The twelfth prompt for Inktober is Whale. I just want to quickly address that I'm aware I skipped number eleven. I don't wanna make excuses, but we had a freak heatwave yesterday (after I already took out the AC weeks ago because it's October!), and it just sucked out all energy I had to do anything. I know that probably sounds dumb, but it's what happened. Anyway, I don't want to stress out over missed entries and spend the rest of the month playing catch-up if things happen to get busy. Rather, I'm thinking if I miss a few, I'll just keep note of it, and continue with whatever day we're on. Perhaps I'll fill in the blanks after the month is over. ^_^

Either way, today's was another more obvious one for me. This is kind of a tribute to an old gag strip I did a whopping 12 years ago. It was one of the first things I did on DA that actually drew people's attention to me. And to this day, it's still the single most Favorited piece in my entire gallery (far passing anything related to Rain, even). It was just a dumb, little joke that I thought "it makes me laugh, but no one else is gonna care". But apparently it resonated with people? Go figure. Now to this day, these four hold a special place in my heart. Moonlight Wanderers will almost certainly reference them too, even if it is a different region.

Anyway, I heard the word, "whale", and immediately thought of that strip. I decided I just had to continue that little scene. But after all this time, that trainer really ought to see about getting his Machoke's eyes checked. XD
