Glad it was a good show for ya!  That's rough, though--my throat always gets scratchy by the end of a con, but I've never lost it.  Hope you're on the mend!

Oh this brings back so many memories for me! Phantasy Star was one of the first and greatest of all the classic Sega RPGs, and Alis was an awesome step forward for the genre since Phantasy Star was one of the first console RPG games to actually let you play as a strong and capable female character. And Alis was one cool character! I used to describe Phantasy Star as a kind of Japanese take on Star Wars and Alis as a kind of female Luke Skywalker, but as time has gone on I've seen beyond those more superficial comparisons to realize just how unique both that series and that character truly are. She could most definitely rock the color pink, but was interestingly not the typical princess type, nor any sort of damsel in distress. Rather, with only three companions at her side, she managed to save her galaxy from what could best be described as the living embodiment of the "Dark Side of the Force" so to speak, and that was very different for the era in which that game (the original Phantasy Star) was made. But, that game pioneered a lot both story-wise and technology-wise when it comes to the RPG genre in general! Easily, out of so many great and classic characters from those days, Alis is certainly one of my favorites. Thus making this picture of her a definite must-fave!

Yeah! She's a great character. I featured her on my giant ladies of gaming tribute piece I did a few years back: jocelynada.deviantart.com/art/…

Wow! I followed your link and had a look at that project of yours there, and it was truly amazing. That could not have been an easy task, doing that. Loved your depiction of Alis in it, it was quite good indeed! Thanks for giving me the heads-up about that, it was cool to check out.

Alis Landale/Landeel. One of the only heroes I know that can make pink look intimidating. Love this!
