you have such a beautiful cozy feeling about your pictures! Theres something so tender and sweet about them- everyone can draw winnie. Not everyone can make you feel this way. My mom had an original winnie the pooh books from when she was 6. Winnie's real name was edward bear, and when he tried to follow Christoper robin down the stairs, he could only go "bump bump BUMP! down the stairs on his head"..... I loved it so much. Ahh! A good thing to paint would be some of ruyard kipling's just so tales, which I love dearly cuz they refer to the reader as "Best beloved" and it makes you feel so happy...you should check them out. You would do a good job painting them.

And now your Mom's Pooh is waiting for grandchildren, I guess And for R.K; I remember only The Jungle Book, but this is so sad.. did he write something else for kids?

yes he did! It's called "Just So Stories" and they are awfully sweet, and not nearly as dark as the Jungle Book(the jungle book is not that dark at all, but I was surprised after I read his Just so stories). There are 12 stories, I think, and they are all a bit different, although there are 2 that involve a cave- family and a little girl named Taffy who invents the alphabet (I laughed on these stories). There is also how the whale got it's throat, how the kangaroo got it's legs and such. The best one to draw would probably be how the rhino got it's skin...I had a copy with pictures in it and even the way he described them made me feel comfy! It was made in 1902.

Thanks for detailed information! I'm always in search for a new book (how many times one can draw Red Riding Hood?) so this is priceless. I'm going to look for these tales. Once I've got the title, it should be easy. Your description makes me think they will be perfect . "Jungle Book" is great novel, I think I have read it three times, but in this book death is so real... I never considered it to be a fairytale at all. "Just so Stories" seem to be a better stuff for me!

Love this!! I used to play poohsticks with my sibling, but we'd always forget which stick belonged to which one of us.

Good question. I need to think a while. Maybe yes, but on the other hand... have you read "Something Wicked This Way Comes"?

I didn't read it but I saw the movie. I see why you brought it up. I had Winnie the Pooh book when I was little and I must have looked at them over and over again. It was nice back then... when your parents took care of everything, you had nothing to worry about, and could look at story books over and over again.

Now I have a house, bills, work, and I worry... but not only about myself. Others that go through difficult time and I wish I could help or do something. I mean, I guess I could buy a cabin in the woods and reduce all that stress so this is the life I built and things I surrounded myself with.

I hope you will manage to find such place. We have solved the problem moving to the country, rather far from our employees. I work via internet now, and my husband had to change his job completely for this reason, but it was worth to. I know very radical solutions are not possible for everyone, but something surely can be done
